To hold 2 cartridges for quick reloads in my Ruger #1,

LUXI will second that. a well designed 2 round holder would be very good for most of us looking for a followup shot.
It takes some planning and practice to get a good result with follow up shots with singles.

MikeBurkeI made my own. Now do not laugh because it worked well. I used a "cuzy" for a beer can, cut the bottom out, cut some material from a second cuzy and sewed it to the first to hold the shells. Worked extremely well, wore it all day long while in Africa, never dropped a round and it was comfortable.
With practice I could shoot 5 rounds in 21 seconds from my 416 in a 4" circle at 25 yards.

ACRecurveMurray Custom Leather might make one for you if you asked nicely.

ACRecurveNevermind. I just spoke with Mr Murray. He said he knew what I was talking about and that they work well, but he doesn't make them and has not had the time to design one. Keep looking...it's a great idea!

enfieldsparesThere used to be a device available in Britain long ago for the quick reloading of Martini action shot guns. This wasn't worn on the wrist but on the two middle fingers of the left hand.
It was a narrow leather strap that went around the two fingers like a leather wedding band. Riveted to that...looking like a pair of two bid diamong gem stone SETTINGS were two spring clips.
The cartridges were pushed nose fist into each "setting". To reload the gun was broken and you grabbed the cartridge, or cartridges, from the device.
For quick loading of ejector side-by-side guns two loose cartridges were just held between the fingers of the left hand. The gun was broken and the empty shells ejected. The left hand then cam into use to load the cartridges.
May I suggest that you try loosely trapping one cartridge between the fingers of your left hand before being about to take a shot. Just be aware of scratching the forestock!
Could a scaled-up - say four shot - version of the below be made?

ChopperGuyUncle Mikes makes an elastic one that holds 6 rounds, velcro adjustable to fit over wrist, forearm, clothes, etc.
http://www.tjgeneralstore.com/sidekick_accessories.htmIt's basically a larger version of the one Thompson Center makes for 2 cartridges.
http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showpage?sale...cpc&utm_campaign=636Blaser makes a 2 round leather one which is way too expensive. (I do own one and the nylon ones mentioned above actually work better and hold cartridges more securely.) It is shown on a single shot rifle, but it works as well as a wrist carrier.
