Got my #1
I guess I joined the club. I found one of the K1-A #1s that Lipsey's offered in the 257 Roberts, stainless and walnut configuration. I have been fondling it all night.

The trigger on this rifle is very crisp. Not sure if this run of rifles had something extra done to the triggers, but this one is almost as good as the trigger on the Sako 75 stainless synthetic that I sold in order to get this #1.

I'm going to see how well it shoots through the iron sights before I mount a scope.

Your rifle has exceptionally nice figure in the buttstock, hope you like it as much as I do mine.

What a beautiful No. 1! I like the contrast between stainless and walnut! I hope it shoots as good as it looks! Nice caliber, too.

That's a great rifle in a wonderful caliber with exceptional wood. Witha great trigger if it shoots as good as it looks you have a real winner. Congratulations and welcome to single shots!

What a great looking rifle. Why can't they do this at the factory?

I hate that grey laminate color of the stock on my stainless #1.

In round numbers, what did this rifle cost?

I paid $895 plus $30 shipping from Uniondale, NY. to Auburn, AL.

Maybe pricey, but it fit all my wants. Hey, I'd do it all over again. Heck, I'd buy another one if they made one with this configuration in 7X57!!

I took it to the range and it shoots incredibly through the iron sights at 100 yards. One guy even made a comment because I was tearing up the center of my target. I felt like a kid who had a handful of Oreo cookies and a tall glass of milk. I'm not going to put a scope on this one. I am going to order the rear aperture from NECG that's made for the #1. If I can figure out what height the front site needs to be, I'm going to get NECG's "sourdough" front site too.

My wife actually likes this rifle.

257 Roberts is simply a joy to shoot.
