Does the Ruger 1-V have a long throat?

I bought a 1V in .223 about 15 years ago and it had a real long throat.I had to seat the bullets out to far inorder to make it shoot.Is this still the case?

I had a 1V in .25/06, and it DID NOT have a long throat. In fact, there were times I wished it were longer.....
