Wanting to get updates on how they are shooting.
Sure wish Ruger would make some for us.

sierra2If you don't find a Ruger #1, you might look for a Browning 1885. My 1885 is a sweetie.

6.5BRI had a 243 low wall, and thought about a 260 in past, but I believe Browning used a 10 twist, perhaps 9, but I want an 8 twist. Should have kept the 243 and rebarreled I guess!
Thinking about a custom #1, but may settle for a 7x57 or 270.....but cannot get excited about it. I'd be the first to buy a Ruger if they would come out in some new calibers. Their business model is .......stale.

6.5BR......stale in their single shot line, need some calibers that I can use, not 204's.

ZERMELWhats so special about the low and the High walls. I know they look good and shoot good.
But IMHO technically and mechanically I think the Ruger #1 is better.

6.5BRWhat I liked about my Browning low wall, was the lightweight receiver, faster locktime, better trigger, unreal accuracy out of box, SMOOTH action........
well, nothing to not like......
BUT, I do like Ruger's fine. They could stand improvements in the trigger, locktime, and some shoot better than others, lucky for me most all shot very well......out of the box.

What else do you want from a gun?

In what way?
I have Low Wall 243 & 260, Hi Wall 06, 7mm Rem and a Ruger #3 30/40 Krag. All shoot at least as well as I do. Really like the 30/40 Krag but the Low Walls carry better
