UrodojiGot my No. 1 .300 H&H Boddington series rifle today
They're done very nicely. If only I could afford all 5 rifles, and they had chosen .375 H&H instead of .375 Ruger.

Idaho Sharpshooterhow cool is that? +1 on the choice of 375 cartridges. You know the midget was not Craig's idea.

LUXHi,
i have been trying to purchase some of the 450/400s and the 300H&H. Question , is the Boddington the same as the Tropical or does the Boddington have its own special design features and is it marked Boddington on the gun?
Thanks,
LUX

Singleshot03Great looking rifle. Agree with the 375 H&H. I do not know enough about Ruger #1 to compare.
Lux, your in OHio. I found my 300 H7H through Cabelas. I was going to drive to Dundee, MI but just had the local gun store handle the transfer.

UrodojiI don't recall seeing Boddington's name on the gun. The box is marked that way though.

UrodojiFrom Gunblast.com:
The serial numbers of the first rifle of the set will be CB1-00001 thru CB1-00250. The second rifle in the series will be CB2-00001 thru CB2-00250, on through CB5, etc.

degoinsVery nice rifle!!! Thanks for sharing. I wish I could get a set of those express sights to put on my 450/400. Has anybody had any luck getting Ruger to sell them a set? I know somebody tried a while back without success.

UrodojiTry New England Custom Gun?

degoinsYep, bought a front sight from them but they dont have a rear express that will fit the Ruger dovetail.

UrodojiThe rear sight looks alot like some of the aftermarket 1911 sights I've seen. I wonder if one could find a machine shop to produce a couple hundred of them.

degoinsI'll bet he could sell em as fast as he could make em. Come to think of, I even asked NEGC about making one of thier express sight models for the #1, but they said they had no plans to. That's probably been 3 or 4 years ago now.

axmanThe pics of your gun look great I'm glad someone got a nice one. I have the first 3 and wish Ruger would buy them back from me as they are the worst of any Rugers I have ever bought. Junk wood, blueing salts coming out of barrel bands and the 450-400 has a screwed up bore.
