Winchester HiWall receivers available soon?
Looks like they may be with us soon.http://www.americangunllc.com/1885hiwall.htm
The castings will be 4140 by Shiloh Sharps and come as barreled actions for $735 with round barrels and $900 with half octagon.
I hope that it comes about.

That would be nice. It would also be nice to have new 1873s and 1886s. Is the 1886 the "Yellow Boy?" I don't know much about them really old guns...

The "yellow boy" is the 1866, which preceded the 73 and was a rimfire 44, rather anemic. The 73 was basically the same rifle with a "new" centerfire cartridge of more power, 44 wcf or we call it 44-40 today. Both used the same toggle link action, which was a weaker design to the 86 and 92 actions.

The 1886 was a larger frame to shoot "rifle" cartridges out of like the 45-70. The 92 was modeled off the 86 but smaller framed and both have the twin locking lugs at the rear of the bolt and are about as stout as it gets for a lever gun.

Yes, it would be really great if 86, 92 and 94 actions were made again (and without the stupid tang safety/rebounding hammer set-up). Then a guy could build a rifle or carbine to his own desire and liking.
