Modern Browning & Win Low Walls & .22BPCRA Options

Hmmm, never thought of the .243 as low pressure. I remember seeing a .260 on a dealer's wall, and couldn't see how Miroku managed it, given the originals certainly can't take such a cartridge. I figured the "walls" mustn't be as low as the originals, and in looking at your photos, it does appear the breech support is about a 1/4" higher. I'm still surprised it works. With it's tapered octagon, it's certainly a beauty.

I expect that the metal the modern receivers are made from is significantly stronger than that used on the original Low Walls, but I don't know that for a fact.
