Some guys on AR expressed interest in 'em. One gentleman said he was offered in excess of $8,000 for his Stutzen. So, I promised if I saw one FS I'd say something. Did you find us a stack of NOS K95 barrels yet? Aim high. CB QUOTE]Originally posted by Biebs:

Beibs is better at buying low and selling high than most pilots I know, myself included. That may be a very fair price, with new Stutzens listed at close to $9k with one barrel, it could be a very good deal, depending on cartridge and condition.

I have turned down over $8700 for mine.

Hi Dave, Caliber makes a big difference in value for me and most likely others. .270's and Hornets don't hit my hot button. What caliber is your ($8,700) Stutzen chambered in? CB

It's the original prototype so mine has a straight stock. It's in 6.5x55SE. SHOOTS SUB .5moa with every load we have tried in it.

Interesting...I am a new fan of the 6.5X55. Sounds like a keeper. Prototype meaning pre-import German prototype? Low serial number maybe? Whatever the case, I believe the earlier K-95 LUXUS grades had much higher quality wood finish (hand rubbed) and possibly slightly better wood quality than in recent years.

Prototype as in non hog back Euro stock, but instead a straight stock rifle. It was used as the demo gun for a couple of years by Blaser-USA.

Depends on the configuration, the higher grades bring a big bump up in price/value.
