Thoughts on Fiberglass stock for Encores
Thinking of ordering the fiberglass stock set that VVCG has on their site for my Encore. Has anyone had one or heard pros or cons one this stock set.

I have a 12" VVCG fiberglass forend for my 15" 6.5-284 Encore barrel.

- The fit is very good.
- The finish looks good (I got it in black).
- The finish appears to be tough - it endured quite a bit of brush-busting this deer season.
- The hardware is well secured.

I would add that the one I have is a white fiberglass that was painted (it is not one solid block of colored fiberglass). There is one chip in the finish that was easily painted over.

Like others that have come before me, you may also consider going with the inexpensive wood and having it painted.

Is there a reason for wanting "fiberglass"? I have the composite stock from TC and find it acceptable in weight & finish (won't chip if bumped). And as a side bonus it's cheaper than the VVCG's. Just my 2cents.

I wanted to go to fiberglass due to the fact that Im very hard on wood and I dont want to get ticked if I scratch or dent it. Fiberglass is easier to repair and I want to use the hanger bar system that VVCG and Bullberry offers. Can you use the T/C factory composite forends with the hanger system? I dont know if you can or not.
