I have a 375 H&H and I love it. The first shot I took at the range crack the laminated Boyd's stock so I reinforced and glass bedded the buttstock.

I was worried about the recoil and breaking the stock again so I added a muzzle break( the barrel I got didn't have one)

It's like a 30.06 recoil now(but use ear protection). I may get rid of it later and get another barrel without the muzzle brake.

It is very accurate and I shoot under 1" groups @ 100yds. I reload and have had good luck with a load I got out of a Handloader Magazine for 260gr Nosler Accubond bullets. It also shoots PMC brand ammo with 300 gr. Barnes X bullets very well.

I've used it on deer & hogs. I nearly took it on my Pronghorn hunt but thought better of it. I love this caliber. I plan to get a 416 Rigby barrel also.

Get the synthetic stock for either of these calibers IMO.
