Hasher9.3x74R barrel for a Ruger #1
I picked up a #1 in a deal a number of years ago and my plan was to turn it into a classic stalking rife with a rehire and red amber. It is chambered in 7 Mag so that won't work.
Any chance someone here knows of a takeoff 9.3x74R barrel sitting around somewhere?

butchlocit'd be cheaper to sell the 7 and buy the 9.3

HasherRebore and rechamber.
Rifle isn't worth a ton as it had a cracked stock and the new rear stock doesn't match the fore end.
So what I would love is to either f d a takeoff or find someone that can debarred it without costing me an arm and a leg.

Bill/OregonDepending on barrel diameter, JES reboring can rebore your barrel to .366.

HasherThat was my original plan but a 7mag chamber won't clean up to a 9.3x74R.

Bill/OregonDoh! I was thinking about my No. 1 in 7X57 that is soon to become a .360 NE No. 2, but with a new barrel.

Vol717If you take off the wood and send the gun to Ruger, they will put new wood on it for a nominal fee. I have had this done to No3s and some of the wood is fantastic.
