-----Was fantastic. Roger is a detail oriented professional with great pride in his work. He machined the bridge on my 10.75, fabricated bases and added an Obendorf type bolt allowing me to use the express sights and a QD scope. He also corrected substandard bottom metal inletting, added a second cross bolt and properly bedded the action. Beautiful work. Roger completed the project as promised and his fees are more than fair for this high quality of work. Roger does not do hot bluing so I had planned to have the bluing done locally. After seeing Roger's work, I will return the rifle after load development and have him rust blue the rifle. Bob

After trying H335, IMR3031 and H4895, I have decided on H4895. Will spend a couple of hrs at the range Saturday with the chrono and take it back to Roger week after next for the bluing. Will post pics when I get it back. The rifle goes to Moz for buff in September. Got a lot of grief from the other guys going for taking a varmit rifle for buff. Danny is taking a .505 and the Wells boys are both taking .510 Wells. A 400gr A-Frame at 2150 should get the job done, varmit rifle or not. Bob

Roger has done, and I hope will continue to do work for me. Have 2 rifles on the backburner now due to current economics, but as soon as things improve... it's off to the races. Gonna be a 264WM goat rifle on a M70 and a nice little 7x57 on a 1910 Mexican Mauser, styled on the early 1900's Rigby and H&H rifles.

If ya'll are in Roger's shop, ask about his little 1910 or 36 Mexican. Just an action he pulled out of a cabinet. It's a beaut. Said he'd been working on it for a couple years, here n there. Double square-bridged to have Talley's (IIRC), all polished up, nice bot handle, and he's built from scratch a copy of Rigby's cocking piece peep sights. Talk about a sweetheart. Mine will have a lot of the same qualities. I really like the peep sight. Got a order in with Duane for some bottom metal, now gotta find me some nice handle material for it.

No problemo, X2. Interesting to hear from others that have had work done by Roger. We all agree. He is sort of local for me as I live in Destin FL but visit my 90yo Dad in N. Atlanta every other week. My route takes me within 10 miles of his shop.

Agreed. I live about 2.5hrs from Roger in Fort Payne. I have friends in Destin and some with vacation homes there. Usually end up there every couple of years for some beach time myself. May have to hook up for lunch or such when I make it down again.

I never say any thing about anyone but this time i have to. Roger is a nice of a guy that you will find. I think if anyone had a bad deal with him, it would be there falt. Wish i was as good a man as he.

Roger full-length bedded it, added a red decelerator, did the trigger, polished the action, timed the safety, put on the barrel band swivel and front sight and rear sight, inletted the Williams bottom metal, then rust blued as necessary.

Dropped off my 10.75 to Roger yesterday for rust bluing. While there, he showed me a beautiful .308 built on a Remington 600 action. Barrel was octagon to round, custom scope bases and swivels, etc. I knew Roger's metal work was flawless and his stock work is no different. Beautiful rifle and probably belongs to some lucky member of this forum.

I met Mr. Ferrell years ago through the ACGG, and my association with him over the years has shown him to be a fine gentleman and a truly gifted gunmaker. He is second to none in either department. It is an honor to be able to count him as a friend.

Howsomever, honesty compels me to state that his taste in scotch is simply inexcusable...
