Mod 70 style safety for mauser 98
I am trying to find a post that i read the other day about the types of mod 70 style safetys for the mauser action. I want to say i recall some one saying there is a 2 position safety and a 3 position safety. Can someone give me the names of these makers? I can't recall nor find the previous post. Thanks for the help.

I believe you are looking for the FN Mauser.

Look on Midway and Brownell's sites.

3 pos safeties are available from Gentry, NECG, amd others. About $150 for the whole shroud.

Jim Kobe, who posts here, makes nice 2 pos shrouds. Search safety and his name here for contact info. His go about $100 with your shroud.

2 pos Buehler wing safeties are available from Timney (through Midway) for about $30 and you can install them yourself although they operate vertically, not horiz like the M70.

nevermind the link I had before, i didn't realize I had moved the pics here ya go.

I just finished up another batch of these. The last batch went fast. They are still $95 with your old shroud in trade.
