Contender Stock from Artistry in Wood (Acra-Bond)
This is my first attempt at posting pictures, so bear with me if it does not work...
I have had a Contender Carbine for a few years, and the stock was set up for open sights - so I had great trouble shooting it with a scope. Artistry in Wood (a.k.a. Acra-Bond)to the rescue... (Actually, to be truthful, the basic stock is from Bulberry's - but Acra-Bond finished and fitted it for me). I'm pretty chuffed with how it looks, so I thought I'd try to share a few pics.
One neat detail: we had set up my old stock to be able to take down the rifle without the use of tools (as opposed to using the standard Contender captive pin). Artistry in Wood came up with a neat mechanism to achieve the same thing on the new stock - or at least I think it is pretty neat...
We are not sure whether the stock is totally finished, I think we have settled on no checkering for now - as the gun is mostly shot on the range. Needs a couple of sling swivels too...

OldFartNice looking lumber. Is it my imagination or is the grip a bit oversized?
Could it be the palm swell you are referring to??

Nice wood Mike. Is it a laminate? I certainly can't tell from the pics.
Stu, this one is actually not a laminate.
