ikesdadAre you referring to their #720 LR barrels?
These are listed on their site and are quite a bargain.

ikesdadFor some reason I have found their site a bit difficult also.
Try this on their site:
Rifle barrel products
then
Finished barrels
then
Mauser 98 sporting contours

Big EarlI had a client order one from Mauser Express in 30-06. I fitted it to a rifle I made for him and shot under an inch with standard green box Remington ammo. They sure look to be well made barrels. That was under a year ago and if I remember correctly, he got the barrel cheaper than if he went strait to Lother-Walther.

ikesdadCurrently for the same barrel:
L-W $219
Sporter Express $224

Tex21Call Lothar Walther. They inventory some barrels but several others will have a lead time. I hung an Article 724 6.5 Swede barrel on a Yugo Mauser a couple years ago and love it. Cost me $200 and GO gauge for my gunsmith friend.
Lothar Walther is top notch stuff.

seafire/B17Gthanks for the lead here..I saw some real interesting and attractive prices on some of their barrels, particularly for the Mauser..
they had a 6.5 x 57 barrel listed, which is my favorite cartridge and very hard to find..
also interesting was a 308 barrel about 28 inches, with a weighted end like they use in those running boar competitions..

dempseyI do wish they had a #1 or 2 type contour. I'm building a rifle for a future sister in law and would like a slimmer barrel. I have a Lothar 8x57 on hand and like the cartridge but it's sorta of heavy for the intended purpose. I might save it for me and use a Douglas I have for her rifle. In any case the prices for the Lothar pre-fits are attractive and I only hear good things.

Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.
