I'd like to mount a scope on my .32-20 Marlin Sporter and cannot find any of the origional OEM mounts. Can anyone modify and install rings on this gun at a reasonable price?

Mike,
I'd get ahold of Dan Kerkowski at D&D Gunsmithing there in Troy to see if he can help you. When I lived down there, I went to him for gunsmithing work. He does good work too.

If D&D can't help you, call Williams Gunsight in Davison and ask for Rob the gunsmith. He can probably hook you up. He may see this post, he cruises through here on occaision.

Thanks guys. Never occurred to me to use Williams. I live in Troy but quit using D&D years ago because of some poor work and a load of attitude. Wonder if this has changed?

Or check with Bruce at Flint & Frizzen in Clarkston. He's not to far out of the way, as you travel to Davison

What ever you do, avoid Mike at Oakland Custom.

Rob at William's has done some work for me in the past, nice job.

Gary is one of the go-to guys for period and OEM older sights. I think he may be parts-only, so you can take to a local gunsmith.
