Synthetic Stock for a Dakota
I have a Dakota 300 H&H with killer wood. The wood is so nice I'm reluctant to use the gun in some situations so a synthetic hunting stock seems in order. If you were doing this, whose stock would you use and what gunsmith would you have do the work. I don't want to have the gun gone for 18 months so time to do the work is certainly an issue. Thanks for your input (I think)!

WVFredI would check on one from Dakota or just send it to Mcmillan.

nyriflemanLJS, I have a few stocks from Hill Country Rifles, McMillans in their "Bridges" style stock on a couple of M-70s. Matt at HCR said the Dakota would work in one of those stocks as well. I believe they are running around 6 months right now.
