how much is a free rifle
I figure $250 in parts. for a $200 rifle, if that.
I don't know if this is a 325,A, B or C
Does the rear sight have a screw to retain it or just the dovetail?
The 325 and 325A had a screw retaining the rear sight. Also, A,B,C models should have the letter following the model number. I believe mine is a 325-C and is marked as such. the 325's were made from 1947 to 1949 when they were replaced by the model 340.
I have one of these with the optional Peep Sight, fun rifle. Also have a 322 in 22 hornet with the factory peep.

thecanadianWhat is missing that costs so much? The only thing I see is that the bottom metal ot surround the mag well, stock and the clip. This shouldn't cost anywhere near 200.00, a hundred bucks tops.
I didn't shop the part, just checked gunparts.
front sight - $13
rear sight - $23
magazine - $37
stock - $100
triggerguard- $$27
ejector is a bit bent - $13
scope side mount (optional) - $24
- $237
Did this have a barrel band?
This is going to be a Bluing experiment
Yes, it has a barrel band which is used I suppose as the front actin screw since the action only has one screw.

J WisnerOnly the 325 has the long bar type ejector with the front magazine guide.
The 325A was the change to the smaller pivoted pinned ejector.
FYI, Wisner's 325/340 magazines are made on the factory tooling in the USA.
Nurmich has their 325/340 magazines made overseas.

Bill LeeperWould it really be worth 200 dollars? These must be more valuable than I thought. I would kick three or four of these aside to get to a beat up Mosin Nagant. Regards, Bill.
