Good Mcmillan stock for Sako L461
I plan to build a trim little 20" barreled rifle on a Sako L461 action that I have. What is a good Mcmillan design that would work well for this? Thinking about the Rem M7 pattern but not sure if it will work. I want a smaller, trim stock for this particular rifle

That stock is a good choice, Mickey will custom do the stock if you send em your action or barreled action....see if they will do it in the Edge version, really lite and really stiff--great stuff!

For hunting rigs I really like the Hunter. They make an ultralight Hunter as well. I've only owned the Hunter though and it is not what I would consider heavy.

As usual, machining was excellent and tupperware is good solid and stiff.

I know I know typical internet response. You ask for a mcmillan and I tell you something else. However have you seen the l461 from wildcat composites it is narrower and the one I handled seemed a much better "fit" or better proportioned for the little action.
