Rem 700 Timney Trigger (has 3 screws, which does what?)
Hi Folks,

I have just put in my mates Timney trigger inot his vssf 22/250 and it did not come with instructions it has three screws 2 above the trigger blade and 1 behind it. Which does what..............while fiddling around I noticed I could screw the bottom grub screw (trigger blade side) right out and still get it to cock and work, it does seemto break very crisply and mucg nicer than the standard rem 700, thishas not creep at all.

regards PC.

Those instructions where for a rem 700 so I assume the Timney screws serve the same functions as do the standard rem 700 ?

I don't have a Timney handy to check. But, I believe the screws serve the same purpose.

Hey PC, I have no idea at all if the link I provided has the screws in the same place for your aftermarket trigger. Had other things on my mind when I posted the link.

However, unless you Gorilla Grip the screwdriver, you won't hurt your trigger by moving each screw a bit and see what happens. Just be sure to run all the Trigger Safety Tests to ensure no adjustment is too light.

Best of luck to you.
