Bolt Handle Weld Clean Up
Recently TIG welded three handles on Mauser bolts. It took me five times longer to clean up under the handle than it did to weld them on. I'm using files. There has to be a faster way. Any tips? Thanks

They don't slip in the mill vise; I mill most of it off and then file the rest, then belt sand the rest, which is the most fun. Yes, it does take ten times more time to clean them up as it does to weld them; that is life.

Under the bolt handle, I take the most of it off with a 1/8 carbide burr in the dremmel; kind of carve it off and then comes the file and emery paper.
