PM a fellow that has the handle Kabluewy. He built pretty much what you are looking at.

Another option is to look at the 9.3 Sisk. An 8mm Remington Mag necked up. Or the 9.3 Barsness-Sisk, a 350 Rem Mag necked up.

seems like if you go to 9.3 you might just as well keep going to .375.

It certainly could be done and would make a nice round -- but it would be a virtual duplicate of the 9.3x64. And not much different from the 358 Norma.

Anyone who claims the 30-06 is ineffective has either not tried one, or is unwittingly commenting on their own marksmanship

I have 2 Sisk rifles in 9.3...one based on a 350 Rem Mag (9.3 BS Barsness-Sisk) and another on the 8mm Rem Mag (9.3 Sisk). The 9.3 BS approximates the 9.3x62, and the 9.3 Sisk is about on a level of the 375 Wby; a 286gr Nosler Partition at 2,800 fps.
