We upgraded our booth from last year and had a much better location. 2004 will be even better.


Day four...one of the few times I could step back and take a picture. Everybody's feet hurt. The two complete rifles are the updated full-custom by Mel Smart in 300win (stainless). We pulled last year's 30-06 prototype action and pitched it. This one is from wave-5 and is totally up to date. The blued action is chambered in .458 Lott and has the "most" perfect barrel I have ever seen on anything, anywhere. This one, I fired, twice, creating huge geysers of snow from a Montana snowbank waaaay out in Star Meadow, Montana. The barreled action was dropped into a USRAC Super Express stock by Timber Stevens in less than three hours of handwork.



This picture was from Day three. I jumped out of the booth ducked between a few passersby and snapped the shot on my digital camera. We had a lot of interest from Industry Magnates and these are continuing to develop. This show was relatively short on hard orders but long on potential strategic alliances. We had all versions of the Long Action RH, some proto-type Long LH, and proto's in both LH & RH Short. And even one proto casting for the PH.

How about adding some captions on the photos? Also who did the fully-assembled rifles, and what are their descriptions? Enquiring minds...

If I were a dealer/gunsmith I would buy some of these actions on speculation. I don't see it as a big investment and they would look nice in the pistol showcase if you would.

Stuff like that draws a lot of interest from some riflemen as it leaves the options open. How many gunshops do you go into that have actions for sale? How long do they stay there? Not long and I am sure of that.

DavidC: you just gave me an idea. Suppose I sent it off for polishing first...3D wax models are pretty coarse looking compared to stuff out of the molds.

Then it might be somewhat impressive. African Hunter Jim Davison visited our factory Friday, and when handed the PH casting, said: The way it ought to be!

I would guess they are accubond stocks by Mr. Smart, from the info gathered in the original post.
