Big Wonderful WyomingBest aftermarket trigger for a mauser
The trigger on my Santa Barbera actioned mauser sucks, and doesn't look anything like a traditional mauser trigger.
I am considering the NEGC trigger and the Kepplinger.
Any others that are great?

BoxheadI have used Blackburn's with complete satisfaction. If I needed one today I would like try one of these.

$219 for a trigger?; no.

You want a good trigger or a trigger that looks like a traditional???
No way in heck I'd pay $219 for a M70 copy trigger for a 98. Bold is hard to beat. The NEGC looks like a Timney/Bold copy.

Big Wonderful WyomingI want a good trigger without a safety in the trigger.
Looks matter little.
I was saying this one didn't look much like a Mauser trigger.
Ok, you can get the Bold trigger either or without a safety. Brownells.

ssdaveMy opinion, the model 70 type is the best:

PS: After I posted, I read a bit more above, and see that has already been recommended and spoken out against. I still think they're the best, whether $219 worth of best is another question.

AtkinsonBrownells now has a mod-70 knockoff for a MAUSER and that is the best trigger ever for any bolt action...It's pricey at about $275. It is made by a well know custom gun builder.
No question the M70 trigger is/was the best trigger ever made, but that price is highway robbery.

lindy2why is the model 70 type the best type?
Limited moving parts; simple, easy to adjust; hard to mess up and never gets out of adjustment. Unlike the mess of stampings and levers and rivets that make up most other commercial trigers of the 20th century. Once you use, adjust, or just look at one, you will see.
