MyNameIsEarlHelp ID a H&R Pistol
Im trying to identify a H&R pistol so I can try to find a hand which is wore out
It looks very similar to a Model 999 but it has a teardrop style grip. Plus the internal parts are different. It is a break open 9 shot 22 LR. The only markings are H&R "Sportsman" the caliber and serial number. Most H&R pistols have the hand attached to the lifter and it has s wire spring. This lifter attaches to the hammer and its a single action pistol. Barrel is around 6 inches, didn't measure.
I have scoured Numerich, called Jack First, and many others with no luck. Trying to identify the model so parts looking can be easier.
I can probably rebuild the worn hand but would like to also tune up the springs.
Thanks

That one is double action and yes grip is traditional on that gun. This grip looks just like the grip on a Colt Lightning. Thanks though

customboltA 199? I guess the "teardrop grip" in your description threw me way off as this seems to be a regular grip hence the request for pictures.

MyNameIsEarlI replied to your email but Google gave me an error not sure if you got it. I appreciate the help. I was able to repair the hand and cylinder rotates now. Customer found some grips on eBay. It is a second model made in 1934-1935. Found the info in Blue Book Gun Values web site. Thanks again for helping me ID it

georgeldThanks for the new business name.
I have been looking for 922 parts for the Old octagon bbl style for years. I need all the internals.
I found the same model 922 round bbl is a totally different gun. Be aware of that.
