Hey, Jim...I love going right to the source! Smiler

Have you ever made a hinge pin and head assembly for a 1898 US Krag?...and if not can I send you one for an estimate on cost to produce?

It’s the pin and locking head that holds the cartridge loading door in place on Krags. The pin itself is just a long pin...but the locking head is a machined part that is swaged or brazed onto the front portion of the pin that rotates to lock and unlock for removal of the pin and loading door.

The heads are difficult to find because they get broken when people try to drive the pin out not knowing that the head has to be rotated first...and don’t ask me how I know that! Smiler
