Scotch Brite Grit Equivalents?
Does anyone know the sandpaper grit equivalent of the various colors of 3M ScotchBrite pads?

I have Maroon, Green, Gray and White- wasn't there a chart or something to that effect in one of the tool catalogs??? Can't find it- any wisdom appreciated...

My Rutland tool catalog lists Scotch-Brite pads as:

Maroon = medium
Blue = very fine
Gray = Super fine
Light gray= Ultra fine
Brown = Coarse
White = Light Duty cleaning pad

They don't list any specific sand paper "grit" equvalent for the colors.

Debee,

Went to the 3M website and they list these pads with approximate Steel Wool grade equivalents, which makes sense due to their construction.
