Husqvarna 1600 series rifle barrel thread?
Can anyone confirm the barrel thread of the Husqvarna 1600 series rifles. I think they have the same barrel thread as a small ring mauser.

My reference lists greater thread diameter as .988 and 12 threads per inch appx. About halfway between a M93-95 SR and a M89 SR. Shank length was listed as .615 and .630 in the same reference?

Well, I have an HVA 1640 here with a barrel that came off of a custom G33/40, and the barrel screwed in without a problem and without excessive play in the threads. I have also screwed the barrel from an HVA 1640 into a Turkish M98 and the thread fit was fine. Based on those two experiments, I'd say the thread sizes are close enough to not be a concern.
