Gunsmith - Bluer recommendations
I need to blue a mauser action and barrel, plus seat the the barrel to the action and turn down a bolt. I'm looking for a reasonable priced gunsmith to do this. I live in the southern California area, but have no problem sending it to any of the western states. Does anyone have a recommendation?
Thanks for your help

I live in Valencia (North of LA near Magic Mountain) and I have had good luck in the past with both Jim Hoag in Canoga Park and Dean Wilkerson in Van Nuys. Old timers like us! Smiler

Jim’s number is (818) 998-1540

Dean’s is (818) 988-7266

Try Glenrock Blue in Glenrock Wyoming. The proprietor is Phil Filing. He does excellent work. Very high quality with a very thorough and state of the art set up. I've used him for years and have been very happy.

You can get a good hot blue with a one day turnaround at Cliff's Gunsmithing in Santa Anna.
