More pics - Husky 640
Continuing with pics of other Mausers I've cleaned up lately:

Here is a Husky 640. Off-center scope mount holes filled, dinged up stock cleaned and refinished, missing permanent sling swivels replaced. Rear sight, missing, replaced with an original I found on E-bay. Front ring mount hole repairs are invisible, rear bridge hole repairs unfortunately were slightly visible - so I camouflaged them by mounting a vintage Lyman 48 (? I think) peep sight. I like peep sights anyway, and I believe they may have been a factory option. It still needs re-bluing.

The action is a later non-full C ring FN. I rather like the Husky rifles, and would like to get one or two more in original condition, especially a 146 (98 action) in 9.3x57.

Todd,
you should come and visit us here in Sweden home of all the Huskies Finding a 146 in 9.3x57 is not a big deal here You'll see plenty of 146's and 640' in any gunshop here, and they are really cheap too

I'm jealous - I wonder how hard it would be to import a 146, and a BRNO 21/22 just for good measure? I know a guy who imports stuff, he says these old rifles are not held in high regard and are available pretty cheap.

Todd,

Check out Sarco, Inc. online, they show about a dozen 9.3 mm in all different flavors.
