TroubleRemoving the front sight on a Rem 700
I am trying to remove the front factory sight on an older Rem 700 sporter rifle. There's one exposed screw and I guess there's another screw under the dovetail blade? Anyways, the biggest question I have is how to you get the dang sight off?
The lesser questions would be: Which way should the dovetail slide on a Remington? Also, how do you get it to slide? I'd like to remove it without buggering it up too much.
I just hate tearing up stuff before it gets placed in a bin to never be seen again....
