FjoldMRC/Win 70 replacement trigger
I'm building a longrange/walk about vaminter in 6mm/284 and I want a trigger that I can set to less than 1 LB for long range work but easily adjust up to about 3 lbs if I take it out on a different day for walking around hunting.
I know Jewell makes a 4 oz - 2.5 Lb trigger, will it adjust easily? Is there another option?

I has a Jewell Model 70 trigger fitted to mine without any headaches. I had a .300 WSM built on a M1999 Short Magnum action.
Good luck.

Savage99If the new trigger's adjustments were accessible without removing the stock it would be practical.
My favorite varmint rifle has the standard Winchester trigger and it's been modified by me to a lighter pull. I can't recall what the pull is to some exact number but it's been like that for forty years.
The pre 64 triggers can be adjusted to a safe two pounds by changing the spring. The post 64's have more sear engagement. I have not tried to get one as low as two pounds yet.

Don't know if this'll help or not but I had a single stage (I think) Canjar set trigger put on my rebuilt Ruger .257 Imp. When it's set, it goes off in ounces & in normal use I'd guess it's around 2 1/2 lbs. Maybe something like this would work. BTW, I can get slightly less than 0.4" for 3 shots with this.
