Tony RIDK if the 142A is different from the 142K. I was hoping someone on here would know. I have had this rifle sitting in my safe for a few years now and I figured I would try to get it together for my kids first rifle. It never came with a bolt or magazine. Thank you for the site. I looked and I will try to contact them and see what they say.

homebrewerNumrich Gun Parts? Are they still in business?

MasteriflemanNumrich lists the "bolt complete" as part #35690 for all the 142 series Mossbergs. Of course, it's out of stock.

Of course. Why would it be anything else? Why is everything "gun" always out of stock? Haven't these people heard there is a Depression going on and nobody has any money? Just as an aside, I had to park way, way out from the door at Walmart yesterday. The parking lot was packed...

Tony RI tried to get on Numrick but there must be a problem with their site. It wont allow me to make a profile. I really appreciate your help though.

Tony Rit is listed as a 142A. I need the 142K. I dont know if there is a difference. Popparts Emailed me back when I asked them and they just told me that they were out of the magazines. They didn't give me a reply on the bolt.
Same bolt, different sights.
Way back when, back when everything was manufactured here in the US, a common way of labelling guns was to have the suffix denote what kind of sights were installed. Usual exception is if it was an M whicvh of course usually meant it was chambered in 22WMR. This is not a hard and fast rule but a good rule of thumb when dealing with older domestic 22's.
Here is an informative site with exploded diagrams and part numbers:

Tony Rno luck. I tried all the places you all suggested. Popperts has it listed but none in stock. I tried the gun show this wekend and got laughed at. Tried my local gun smith. Same reaction. Popperts suggested Jack first distributors with no luck. ordered a magazine and it is on its way.
