Do you want to know how to disassemble the whole bolt assembly or just removing the firing pin from the holder??

The easiest way involves three hands, a slotted tool, and a coin.

Basically you have to push the cocking piece back so that you can slip a coin between the top front edge of the cocking piece and the shroud. You can then unscrew the striker assembly.

You then insert the firing pin in a hole and push down on the shroud. The coin will fall out and you then turn the cocking piece sideways to remove it. Release tension on the shroud.

Reassemble in reverse order.

The cocking piece (striker) has a small hole drilled in it. Operate the bolt and cock the rifle. The small hole should appear at the bottom of the cocking piece. Insert a small nail through the hole and lift the bolt and remove it from the rifle. You can now unscrew the sleeve and cocking piece from the bolt. For further dissassembly go to the Surplusrifle.com web site and follow the instructions for any of the M98's.
