Winchester Model 70 Cast Extractors
Are they really inferior to machined spring steel versions? I mean, do they really break more often or have other problems?

If so, how do you tell if your Model 70 has one so that you can swap it out?

Basically you can see the casting seams on the inside and the nose of the extractor.

It's a MIM thing. Many people don't like metal injected molding parts in their firearms.

I bought a Williams extractor for mine.
