1935 Remington?

I found a 1935 remington bolt action 30-06 springfield,with the dogleg bolt & big cocker safety today unfired rifle,it had a few safe scratchs on the stock and one chigger place on the rear sight area on the barrel, but the rest of the rifle looked brand new condition,anyone have a idea of the worth of this rifle?I think it was priced to the hilt,but if not i will post number to shop if anyone is interested,they can call about it,its not mine,its on consignment and the guy said the price was firm...Looked like a rare find to me..I dont want to post it though if its priced way over what it should be,I have never seen one of these jewels before,I want one now..but in hunting condition not collecter condition...I thought it looked alot like a pre 64 winchester at first glance,Are these control round feed bolt action rifles? i liked it..I think i got the fever now

I think it was,iam no expert on old remingtons& model numbers,but it was the one thats built on a P17 enfield action which ever one that is?It was a sweeet rifle!

That would be Model 1917 U.S. Enfield, not P17 Enfield. The "P" aka P14 was the Pattern 14 Enfield made by Winchester, Remington, and Eddystone for the British during WWI.

Leftover M1917's were "converted/sporterized" by Remington for sporting use after the war and were marketed as the Model 30 and 30S. They are desireable rifles. As far as price goes, I've seen asking prices up to $700 for specimens that are still in nice condition.

There's a 30-S express in a local shop for $1250 with the box and hang tags and I think it's a fair price. They are getting very hard to find expecially with condition.

It's at B&B sports in Atlanta if anybody wants to inquire about it.

Not all Model 30s have bolt guide ribs either, only the later ones.
