stockerDaly's Sea Fin Ship'n Shore sealer, Ben Matte Tung Oil finish
Can any member provide the name of a retail outlet in Seattle that carries these products? Hope to be there in the next 2 or 3 months.
Much appreciated.

stockerDuayne: can you give me an indication of the shelf life of the sealer and Ben Matte? Daly's have provided me with the name and phone number of a B.C. agent but they only stock quarts and gallons. I'm not finishing any ships. Having gone through the Pro Custom rather short shelf life (after opening the container) I really don't want quarts that are curing and polymerizing long before I can use them. Thanks.

stockerSteve: Thank you. I have a pile of empty powder cans that should work but I believe I'll wait and see if the Seattle stores have smaller original containers.
Sorry, Duane: I know your name doesn't have a y in it. Slip of the something. Seems to happen more often these days.

TommyhawkIf your local Daly's dealer doesn't stock the
pint cans, then ask them to order some for you.
Failing that, call Daly's. Tell them you can't get what you want locally and order directly.
Excellent products.

Blackbart2Not to high-jack your thread, but......
for you guys that use the ship n shore sealer, do you use it straight from the can, or do you thin it some? Also, how many coats would you typically apply (of the sealer) for a gunstock?
I ask as I too am fixin' to try some out on a stock I need to finish so was hoping to get some tips from you experts here.
I am interested in making my stock as impervious to the weather as is practically possible, and these products were recommended and look good to me on paper.
Oh, and another question....how long do you give this stuff to cure before moving on to the rest of the finishing?
Thanks,
Bob
