blackburn/wisner bottoms?
Can anyone out there help me? Where is it possible to buy new bottom ends online? I need two BRNO 602's and possibly one pre64. Would it be possible to buy these with the "bow" lever mag release? Also does anyone know of any replacement triggers for the 602? I know the likes of Timney etc don't make 'em, but I was wondering if anyone has ever had one done or done one themselves? (Robgunbuilder in partictular, you seem to be the most knowledgeable! Is it possible?) Thanks...Dave

J WisnerI am not aware of any one who makes a replacement trigger for the Brno 600, 601,602 actions.
The CZ 550 changed the trigger to a better system that is adjustable, and comes as a set trigger.
I have never made any replacement triggerguards for the Brno, I don't recall if Blackburn made any either. Just not enough demand for them to tool up. Both myself and Blackburn do not have a website.
I am currently working on prototypes for a Rigby type floorplate and a Scheuller floorplate for the CZ 550. Will have them worked out shortly and on the CNC in a month or so.

Is there really no way of changing the trigger on a 602?

AtkinsonWhy not get a good Aussie gunsmith to do a trigger job on that gun...

HunterJimDCM,
I had a local gunsmith do a "trigger job" on the stock trigger that came with my BRNO M602. I asked him to match the 2.5 pound pull of my other .375 H&H, and he did without any trouble.
That was 8 years ago, and the rifle still operates safely and well.

Thanks for your help, I was always going to get it done while he was doing everything else, I just cant believe you can't buy one of these off the self aftermarket jobs for such a popular rifle! Thanks again, what about the pre64? Is there anything you can buy to increase the magazine capicity?
