What diameter should a M98 Mauser bolt face be opened to in order to accommodate commercial brass whose rim size is 0.527” +/- 0.001” in diameter?

Kuhnhausen suggests a bolt centering radius of .269" for a standard belted magnum cartridge - which has a case rim diameter of .532" plus .006" rim clearance.

That . 269" is measured from the centre of the foring pin port.

Rim diameter + .006" rim clearance. Or .527" + .006" = .533". Dividing .533" by 2 equals bolt center radius of .2665".
