yotecaller17 Remington build
I am going to be buying a 17 remington 700 barrel and I am going to be building a coyote rifle with it.Can I use a 223 bolt and mag box for it or do I need to buy something else?To me the 17 Rem looks very close in size to a 223 and 222.Thanks in advance.

Any action that will work with the .222/.223 family of cartridges will work for the 17 Remington.
I would give some serious thought to the Remington barrel though. It seems that all of the folks I have talked to that had problems with variable accuracy with the 17 were shooting factory rifles.
At one time I had a Remington that was the same way. One time it would shoot 1/2" the next was 1 1/8". It was very frustrating. Now, I have a Sako 461 action with a Douglas light sporter weight barrel that shoots 3 shots under 3 tenths and 5 into .5-.6 if I do my part.

Toomany ToolsScrollcutter, would you mind sharing that load? My Pac-Nor barreled Tikka needs a new diet.

ScrollcutterNot so good photos.
Specs:
Sako L461 action.
Douglas barrel installed by M. Ottmar.
Bolt handle installed by T. Burgess(I think).
Brown Precision Pounder stock installed by me.
I also did the rust bluing, lettering and the gold barrel bands.

Here ya go. Remington small rifle BR primers, Hornady 25 gr. pill, IMR 4895 powder. First pic is 24 gr., second is 25 gr.
I don't know how much experience you have reloading the 17, but be cautious. I increase powder charges by .1 grain at a time. The top load in the Hornady manual shows 24.5 grains of IMR-4895. These loads work well in my rifle, but may be too hot for yours. Go slow.
