ramrod3406.5 Gibbs reamer needed
Trying to plan out a future project. Anyone have or know someone that rents a 6.5Gibbs reamer? If I can't find one guess I'll have to have a new 6.5PDK reamer made.

Toomany ToolsPaul, there's a good chance I have access to one. I'll check tomorrow.
All I need is loading dies?!? That's a .256 Gibbs Magnum, anyone?

Toomany ToolsPaul, I have access to a .25 Gibbs and a necker/throater reamer in 6.5 and put together they can make the 6.5 Gibbs. What I don't have are headspace gauges for the Gibbs so would need them or a cartridge.

ramrod340John thanks for taking the time to check. I'm still trying to decide what the heck to do. I had a 6.5PDK with a 26" I could beat my buddies 264Wmag M700 handloads. Yep I did have 2" on him. I had made a long term loan to the rancher in West Texas that we hunted on. He loved it and it really cut our huting price.

Well it was stolen. My current reamer is 7mm and larger. I had loaned out my 243-270 reamer and it never made it home.
Bought a 700CDL and while it was OK it just wasn't what I wanted so when a guy made an offer at the range the other day higher than what I paid I took it.

So I'm in the market for a 6.5 again. I know I could have a new reamer cut but was trying to get close enough using what was available. I thought maybe I could take a 6.5 gibbs run it .03" deep and cut a longer neck to simply get close to my case but a 35 vs 40 deg. But the darn Gibbs is only .453 and my case is .458-.46. Talked to AHR and while Ken Howell designed a 6.5Howell for them AHR never made a reamer or dies.
So here I sit with a set of 264Wmag dies, a magnum MKX action and the desire for my 6.5PDK.

So I guess I will stew a while longer. Besides I have a 9.3X57 to finish and send you.
