M70 Stock swap question
I have two M70's featherweight classics one in 6.5X55 and one in .270. Getting ready to sell the 270 and would like to swap that stock with the 6.5. Can this be done without causing a problem? Thanks, smoker1

It should be fine if they both use the same type of bottom metal.

FWIW, it is likely that neither gun will shoot like it did before the stock swap, however.

Thanks GeorgeS, I'll check the bottom metal. The 6.5 is the most recent and has a nice stock but the color is on the dark side. Thanks again, smoker

You can swap bottom metal if you need to... but
I think the 6.5x55 is a short action isn't it? If thats the case its a no go unless you want to 'bubba' it up.

They should be the same. Mine were.
