Tanooserem 700 action?
So where is the best place to purchase a new remington 700 action I have a nice HS Presision stock and i want to build a rifle on it i am just not sure what caliber yet . But it will be a long action heavy barrel maybe a 25/06 unless i decide to go with the .338 RUM. Probibly a shilen barrel. The local shop reccommended Brownells

WinmagmanI'm not positive but I think last time I looked Brownells only has the 700 short action.

I would shop around for a good used rifle and start from there. Wal-Mart would be my second choice. Get an ADL and then you can recoup $50 or so on the plastic stock and barrel. The problem with this would be if the stock you already have were a BDL. If that is the case you probably won’t break even. Even with the sell of the barrel and stock.
If you are patient you can pick up a nice used BDL for $350 to $400 That’s less than one from Brownells.

cliffs2I have 2 brand new adl's, one 270 and one 243 that I would sell for 325 apiece in the box.
