LeopardtrackJust how strong is Acraglass??
I am curious about just how strong Acraglas is, since I find myself using it around the house for various repairs. It seems extremely strong...stronger than regular epoxy.
If a barrel is bedded with it, is the Acraglas actually strong enough to prevent the forend from warping in wet weather?
I would like to hear your comments/experiences.

tiggertateI doubt a thin layer in the barrel channel would stabilize a warping forearm if for no other reason that Accraglass is flexible. You could inlet a stiff rod and bond it with Acraglass to get where you want to be...

butchlocepoxies just like other products come in different grades. that cheap 5 minute stuff you find in the hardware store just isn't the same as acraglass. so yes it is much stronger. there are even stronger epoxies out there, but they do get pricey
