Winchester M70 Post 64 Differences
Hello all!

Can anyone tell me if a CRF barrel from a post 64 Winchester Model 70 will work on a push feed action Model 70? Also, is there really any difference in the receivers? In other words, if a fellow was resourceful and could find a CRF bolt, would it work in a pushfeed action if the barrel had the cutout for the extractor? Any help is greatly apprectiated!

sgtdonf,
No, the barrels are not the same. The threads are the same, but the chamber is further forward and the CRF bolt is longer to extend into the cone area of the barrel. The recievers are also different. The CRF receiver has clearence on the left side of the bolt hole for the extractor and has cuts for the fixed blade extractor.

Good luck,
Headache
