340WbyPrechtl actions. How do they rate these days???
Looking at buying an action for a 9.3x62 BA project.
I know Prechtl were highly coveted actions. Are they still???
Are there many companies using the Gottfried Prechtl actions these days?
Cheers

340WbyThanks for the link

I see they do a 'standard' & 'magnum' action. Can anyone confirm the 'standard' to be a true 'small ring' action or do Prechtl use a 'large ring' action for everything, with the appropriate bolt-stops etc?

Both there ’standard’ & ’magnum’ actions are true ’large ring’ actions, with the large Mauser tread 1,1” x 12, as they are copies with only minor modifications of the originals.
The machining of the action is done in Lithuania, the hand fitting, finishing and assembling is done in Gottfried Prechtels shop in Birkenau, Germany.
