I would like to have at least the "field" gage for my M1 Garand. understood that Forster gages were at one time not that accurate so I would like a recommendation for a buy-advice please.

Clymer and Manson... I haven't had any problems with my Forster's but they are old and probably built back when people cared.

mine are U.S. Army so have no idea who or when they were made
