Checkering patterns for beginners
What would you recommend as a general type of pattern? Panels, or wraparound? Point, fill-in, or a combination of the two?

I do have Monte Kennedy's book so page # references would be great -- folks on HA have already suggested pp. 34 and 36.

John, I would do a simple point pattern like you would see on a pre 64 or on a ruger with two panels on the fore arm. Once you get the hang of it a wrap around is actually easier on the fore arm but it does allow you more length of cut to make mistakes.

I have been promising a checkering "seminar" that I will post on here and on Huntamerica but I have not completed it yet. I dont want to get it started until I have all installments somwhat ready to go.
