Mag-10 questions
I just got a Ithaca Mag 10!!
It is threaded for choke tubes, but only one came with the shotgun.
It is marked only "m"
So....Did Ithaca ever make a choke tube barrel for this shotgun?
If not, who else might have done a flush-mount choke tube conversion during the time frame that this shotgun would have been in service?
The existing tube has two slots in the end of it, one 180 degrees from the other one, if that helps.
I can count the threads if that would help.
Also any other comments regarding the Mag-10 would be appreciated, as to what kind of parts I should look for and keep around. What usually breaks on these? The only thing about it that is kinda weird is that it is no longer being made.
Thank You

Hawkeye47JoeM,
I had a Supreme Grade Mag 10 for years until some dirtbag stole my guns. I shot a truckload of Geese and Turkey with it, wow did it shoot a good pattern!!! I shot all kinds of reloads and factory shells and never once had any problem. I have heard horror stories about some of the early guns that jambed really bad,but my gun shot everything I put in it.
Ithaca never made a Mag 10 with choke tubes so yours must be an after market job. Check it on the pattern board to make sure it shoots to point of aim.

Dave JamesBoy have you just got ahold of a fine deer killer,
I use one that has had the bbl cut back to 26", Pro-ported and have had after market choke tubes installed, with triple-0 and no-4 buck you would not believe the patterns it throws at 50 yards.
Keep a check on Numrick for parts and snatch up any bbl you can find, I have been looking for a spare for awhile now and no one wants to part with one, have to check and see if the Remington bbl will work, have been told that some parts will interchange.
