Just me but you probably are gonna be ahead to just buy a new 35 Whelen barrel - either trade/sell teh 06 if you want and get the 35. Then you have a 35 without stressing the steel of the old -06 (I am guessing there must be some stress on teh barrel to do so - plus I would think you are getting a bit thin in the contour department too)

I must warn you I have never rebored any barrel and am not up to speed on the exact process.

I have a stainless 30-06 encore barrel that I would like to have rebored to 35 whelen.Has any body out their done this?
If so how much did it cost,and how did you like it?

You can buy a 35 Whelan barrel from the TC Custom Shop for $255. Sell your barrel for $175 and you are out the $75 difference.
